Anyway, when I was taking the plane out there, the fasten seatbelt sign went on. And, the pilot went on the intercom so all the passengers could hear him say he wanted us to have our seatbelt on because we were about to experience some turbulence. Okay. Do you guys always follow that? You should. LOL well, I should talk usually I wear my seatbelt when we take off and when we land. Not really when we are in the air. Oops.
When my husband Joe catches me, he usually will get pretty angry. He would reiterate what he always says when I don't wear my seatbelt whether in the car or the plane. That is this, " What if we get into an accident and then you will forget all the time spent with me. And, I will have to make you remember all the years we were together and that you're my wife. All you will remember is being with your ex boyfriend!" I know right that is pretty clever. Crazy yet clever! I'll tell you guys this. It does work every time. Meaning, I end up wearing a seatbelt. Remember guys, with God anything is possible Right? Come to think of it, he could win his argument just saying or I could die or really injure myself. That would be a pretty good argument. I guess he deserves points for creativity. Lol :-)
Enough about that. Turbulence. My Google Assistant described the word turbulence like this. Turbulence is "Violent or unsteady movement of air or water, or of some other fluid." Now are you remembering if you heard it when you were on the plane last time?
Wouldn't that be awesome if God works like that? He would give us some kind of warning before we end up in some kind of violet attacks or any messed up situation? We know God doesn't work like that. Just thought it would be awesome if he did.
Let's go back to the beginning chapters of Genesis. Do you all remember when I told you about the story of Esau and Jacob? Just to recap Jacob and his mom Rebecca are so devious and jealous that they stole the birthright and the blessing their father Isaac was about to give Esau. Poor Esau right? I still feel that was a pretty jerky thing for Jacob to do to his brother Esau. Oh well. God allowed it to happen. So, he must have had a good purpose for it. Actually, if you continue to read on in the story line, you see that God did. Meaning he did have good purpose for it.
Think about it. If Esau was warned of that little turbulence that was coming in his life. He definitely would have done things differently. I am thinking he would be way ahead of the problem that was to come. Oh yeah. The right brother would have gotten the blessing and the right brother would have gotten the birthright.
Nowadays, like I said it would be cool if somehow we were warned of some incoming turbulence coming our way? Wouldn't it? I can imagine our lives would probably be in a different place. However, don't hurt your brain trying to think about it too deep. Just be thankful you are where you are now!
