First of all, Brandice is way younger than me. She is in her early thirties which I am no longer in Lol. And think all the caregivers I've had have been younger than me. Anyway, she shared something with me that kinda gave me little happy tears and maybe what she just shared will be encouraging to you guys. Brandice was just diagnosed with breast cancer and she can't see out of her left eye because of a really bad car accident. So, why is doing what she does? Because she loves helping people. Aren't I blessed?
However, despite all the hardships she has in her life like I do, she still says God had the last say. The last thing I want to share about this girl is hilarious and go straight to the heart. I think I mentioned that I hate water. Well if I didn't, I do hate water but many of my doctors are saying I need water so I'm trying and as Brandice is typing this my water reminder went off and she says she has the same problem. She has a reminder too and is always trying to drink more water. So yeah, that was funny
So, Brandice is here today yay! Time to dive in!
Let's say for example I'm talking to a friend and practically spilling my guts out to him or her. I'm going through some problems and I'm really in need of some advice. I just keep talking my head off not letting my friend get a word in. Seriously, my friend can't respond! I looked at the time on my watch and I noticed that I had to leave because I had an appointment. My friend says to me, don't you want to hear what I have to say?
Are you like that or maybe you are the friend that hears what they have to say but doesn't even get to talk or respond? I think that's how we are with God sometimes. We talk so much of our complaints to him, but then again fail to listen to what he has to say.
Friends, our relationship with God is meant to be a two-way conversation, really. When we pray and complain so much to him about our drama, he listens. Then, God may respond to what you had to say in different ways. He won't respond audibly because he hasn't done that since the time of Jesus. Since like 2000 years ago. However, God can respond in many other ways.
Maybe, he will just speak to you from what other people might say. Maybe a certain situation or event may be speaking to your heart and you know it is coming from God.
O pause for a second I just gave my card to this nice lady next to me named Sophie. I pray you'll be encouraged by my writing girl! Okay back to my writing. It was so nice meeting you!
So, yeah a relationship with God is meant to be a 2-way conversation. For many years now I have been using my phone to track many things the Lord made happen in my life. So my application is filled with a lot of praises and prayers that I like to jot down during my day. I wonder if the Lord allowed my other cell phone before this to be stolen so people who read it would be encouraged by my words. LOL
Anyway, you all know that we live in a media-saturated world. I mean the voice of God is probably being covered by many other voices. We hear voices coming from TV, radio, the internet, Facebook, Instagram, email, text, friends, family, colleagues, text, email, and more, probably. Sometimes we hear the voice of Satan tempting us to disbelieve the word of God and not to listen to what God has to say. The evil one wants us to doubt that God has our best interest in mind.
Shout out to Katie, a friend of Sophie, the woman I met a little bit ago. Katie I pray you will be encouraged by the writings!
You see what I mean? How does one listen to the voice of God amidst all that mess and distractions? Sometimes maybe God is doing the distracting to get our attention. :)
Encouraging thought of the day:
Why dont you call up a friend you haven't spoken to in awhile?
TBC........................

John 8:47 ESV
Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”
John 10:27-28 ESV
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
Mark 4:24 ESV
And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.
