My friend who will remain nameless, had been in a relationship with this dude for 7 years! And, she thought she would marry and live happily ever after with him. Well, it turned out this man had been cheating on my friend for quite some time. The other girl Facebook messaged my friend and told her. My friend saw text messages that led to the man being a cheater. Y'all see what social media and all this new technology stuff that wasn't around when I was a kid is really doing to people nowadays? Anyway, I think I'll save my thoughts about that for another writing.
Of course my friend broke up with the man. And, that mess is still trying to creep back up and be a part of her life. According to my friend, nope! At least for now she is not going to take him back. I'm sure that when all this news was brand new her emotions were running wild. And, that makes sense. Now, that a few months have gone by, my friend sees what has happened in a different light. She told me that she felt that God probably did not want this man in her life, at least not right now. She was stubborn and wouldn't listen so God had to do something drastic to wake her up. And, what had happened definitely woke her up!
Currently, her attitude amazes me! Despite everything she's going through especially including this incident, she is still smiling, laughing, and acting like nothing like what happened really happened! With everything going on in her life she said something and that was God has the final say!
Wow, right? I mean wow! Believe me, with everything going on in this girl's life right now, her problems make my personal problems not as bad as I think they are. So, Sam needs to wake up and be pretty thankful for all God has blessed her with right now!
What Bible story does this remind me of? Ding ding ding!!! Whoever said the story of Joseph was right! I'll repeat what he had to go through. All the bad things remember? His brothers hated him. Joseph suffered much hatred and persecution from his brothers. Joseph was sold by his brothers and Joseph was said to be dead because of some animal attacking him. Joseph was said to have sexually attacked the wife of Potiphar which in turn resulted in Joseph being thrown in prison!
See, what God allowed this poor man to go through? Now, check this out. All that bad stuff needed to happen in order for Joseph's life to lead to awesomeness and glory! He ended up to be that of a chief adviser to Pharaoh. He ended up saving many lives! Joseph became a pretty significant man compared to what he was before.
I don't know what God's plan is for my friend. I don't know what God's plan is for my own life either. What I do know and what we have to trust is this. If one is a true born-again Christian believer and has a personal relationship with God, then we must believe that God does ohave a plan for our lives. And, whether in this life or the next, it is going to result in Glory!

Encouraging thought of the day:
Maybe the Bears will make it to the Superbowl again in my lifetime. Hey, it can happen, right?
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Romans 8:28 ESV
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
