Genesis Series Part 30: No, Don't Do That

Don't hide your true emotions!!

Good morning! Before I get into my writing, shout out to Katie I had dropped my medicine this morning not too far just on the floor by my wheelchair. However, you know I can't get up so I needed some help. There was nobody around me and I turned around and I saw this girl that was two tables away. I asked her if she could pick up my medicine. She got my medicine and of course I gave her a card she was very nice. Katie, I pray that you will have a wonderful day and be encouraged by my writings!

You all know that I am an actress. Not an actress with a Hollywood name yet. Who knows what the good Lord has planned for my life? However, as an actress one of the most important characteristics of being an actress is to have the ability to disguise yourself. Not only physically, but mentally. Let me give you an example.

Last month, I was doing some filming for my Emmy nominated producer friend. He produced movies like Barbershop 2 and some other movies. I think one was Ali, but I forgot.  I'm not sure.

Anyone who truly knows me knows that I was so far from my character. The people going through lines with me were speaking to a mean, b****y, don't care about anyone but herself woman. I know right? None of these things are what I am about. Right? LOL Well, at least not all the time maybe a little ........sometimes. :)

Basically, I'm trying to point out that I had to hide my true self of being nice and sweet and bubbly and caring LOL right? Because I wasn't the only one that was a part of the filming. There were a lot of people on set. Like the director, producers lighting and sound people, art director, other actors, and probably more but I can't think of them right now. Basically, I had to do my part in the filming of this movie and respect others as well. I really had to put others' feelings before my own.

Anyway, why am I sharing this with you guys? Well, continuing on with the Bible story of Joseph...

Oh no well. Oh yes. LOL pause break. My hands were really getting cold and Aundrewell is not here yet. So, I asked this nice lady Cynthia who just walked into Starbucks if she could get me a cup of hot water. Thank you, Cynthia, for being so nice and accepting my card. I hope you have a wonderful day and be encouraged by my writing. So have a blessed day.

Anyway back to the story of Joseph.  I'll ask it again.  Why would I share my acting story with you? Now? LOL Well because our friend Joseph couldn't take it anymore. Just to recap Joseph was now the head honcho, so to speak, and Jacob told his other Sons to go get some grain because of the famine, remember?

Well let's forward to when the brothers get there and they're talking to Joseph. Remember he knew who they were but they didn't know who he was. He was actually mean and talking down to them and had to leave the room because he knew he was about to cry.

So, he left the brothers and went into his room. And, shortly after that, he began to cry. Poor guy😔. Well after a few more scenes and he couldn't take it anymore, he told them he was their brother Joseph! Imagine how frightened the brothers were!

However, talk about Grace! Joseph told the brothers not to worry because he has forgiven them. The brothers only did what they were supposed to do because that's what the Lord wanted to happen. Because of what the brothers did Joseph did his thing by saving lives and is now in the presence of his brothers.  Joseph couldn't take it anymore so he revealed who he really was.

Pause break caregiver just got here.  Shout out to Veronica Yates! She gave her a card on the train! Veronica, I pray that you will be encouraged by my writings! Have a blessed day!

Okay, back to Joseph not being able to take it anymore. He could not hide his feelings. We may not be able to hide our feelings. But, aside from playing a part in a movie, I don't think it's right to hide your feelings! It's probably not healthy!

Moral of this writing is "don't do that!"  I'm imagining the character Sophie from 2 Broke Girls. That's a great show. You should watch it. LOL

TBC........

Encouraging thought of the day:

Be true to yourself!
