Genesis Series Part 73: Shouldn't This Be Easy?

Happy Saturday! It's around 6 something. What is Sam talking about this early Saturday morning? Oh, wow this is one of the few times, Joe got up early like me and stayed up till just a few minutes ago. That was nice. Our daily reminder to pray before he goes to work went off and then he was just fiddling on his new cell phone he just got. Now, I was told to wake him up at 7. Back to sleep he goes. Wow, as soon as this man's head hits the pillow I kid you not, the snoring begins! Here to my writing I go!

When someone tells us specific directions that we should follow. Then, shouldn't it be easy to follow them? Let me share my deep thoughts on that.

Easy? HA HA! Let me say that depends on who you are asking. Let me also say that, it may also depend on what exactly the directions are. Am I right guys?

In the Bible from the book of Genesis, we are introduced to God giving Adam and Eve directions he wanted them to follow. He created this wonderful Paradise for the two. And, God wanted them to fully enjoy what God created. That included their companionship too. Remember God created Eve because he didn't want Adam to be alone?

In this paradise, there was one tree God specifically said not to eat from. He knew what was best for them like he knows what is best for us. He gave them the directions that he knew they were not going to follow. That's a hard one I wouldn't be able to explain. I suggest talking to a pastor or a really smart Bible scholar. :-)

I guess following directions is not as easy as we think sometimes. What I'm thinking right now is about credibility. When someone tells you to follow directions, and then you follow the directions you make yourself appear credible. When you don't, people are not going to trust or perhaps listen to what you have to say.

Satan wants to ruin your credibility with other people. Especially, if you are planning on telling this person about God. I suggest following directions. Of course be mindful of the directions. Ask yourself if you can hear these directions you are given coming from the mouth of God? If not, then you know what you have to do or not do.
