Do you like to keep stuff in? Sorry let me say what I mean. What I mean is Do you like to keep stuff in? LOL. Wait let me think about what I am trying to say. Okay Harbor is coming to mind. What I mean is do you guys let pain linger within yourself? The pain you are feeling will just keep growing and growing until it escalates to just hatred. Bitterness against the other person. I hope you guys get what I'm trying to say now.
Well, I'm thinking I'm not the only one when I say I've done that. I might even still have a little bit in me. You know why that is? It's because we have a sinful human nature. I felt that way. And, it took time. ( A long time, probably years,) until I finally gave it to God. I told God I don't want to have this pain in my heart anymore. I was sick of being so pissed over something I couldn't even control. I had to really take it to heart and come to grasp with the fact that God allowed it to happen. And, the only way to go was to be content with what God allowed to happen.
Now, do you think I would totally forget about that bad stuff? Nope, not really because you know why Satan is at fault for that. I know I've said many times that we can't blame him for actually making us do the sins because we are the ones that are choosing to actually participate in doing the sin.
However, when it comes to tempting or putting thoughts in our mind? Satan willl hold the key to that one. I mean don't get me wrong I don't think about it everyday.
I know I mentioned in past writings that Satan cannot know or hear the thoughts in our minds. That's why like if you are trying to renounce or rebuke him. Say it out loud. Go ahead and yell at him if you want to. That's always fun. LOL
So, I guess what I'm trying to get at if you haven' taken the first step of forgiving in your heart, then you must do it. Remember, not forgiving someone is a sin. If God forgive you for your sins, he just wants us to offer the same Grace two others who have wronged us.
I learned the hard way. I kept all those negative feelings inside for years. You don't want to keep those negative feelings inside for years. Stop reading this now and just go to the side and forgive that person. Then come back and finish my writing lol. Just kidding someone well not really. :-) I just thought of something what if there is somebody right now?
So, I guess a character from The Book of Genesis that would go with the series can be this man. Remember Esau? Terrible things happened in his life. And it was all due to his brother Jacob.
Member when planned Jacob stole his Birthright, and his Blessing?! No doubt, he was mad. However there's no mention in the Bible that he planned a deadly retaliation against his brother Jacob.
I really suggest you check out Genesis 33. It speaks about when Jacob met with his brother Esau. After the horrible things Jacob did to Esau, he sounds like he had really forgiven Jacob. I'm pretty sure Jacob was feeling pretty bad thinking about what he did to his brother. But his brother forgave him and found favor in his eyes.
It was like a glorious reunion. Jacob introduced Esau to his kids. So, it was long awaited but eventually his kids met their cool uncle. What a nice man! Can you believe Is was even offering Jacob gifts? Jac weob was pretty surprised, I think. And, he was like saying no my Lord, and did not want to accept any gift from Esau. I'm thinking raise the roof for a cell being so forgiving, and talk about offering grace!
