Genesis Series Part 78: Death Is So Cruel

Before I begin my writing this morning, there are a few people I want to give a shout out to. First of all last night me and my husband had some yummy hazelnut flavored ice cream from the Atwood restaurant. We met with 2 of our friends last night so we can hear one another's thoughts about an important project. Unfortunately,  our producer friend wasn't able to makei it. Perhaps it was due to late night filming?

Anyway, let me just say hi to Tamara! Ice cream? Yummo! And, hi to Lindsay! I pray that both of you ladies will be encouraged by my reading and have a wonderful day! I also want to give a shout out to Kevin. Kevin is a new Starbucks worker who came and brought me my second cup of hot water! Start your day with encouragement dude!

I am almost sure that more than half of the nation, pretty much the whole world, maybe everyone except for the select few, heard about Adam and Eve's little boo-boo. Well more like, really big, ginormous heck, life-changing boo-boo.

Because, of what happened with Adam and Eve. Sin was welcomed into the world. And, death was to follow. I repeat we weren't supposed to grow old, to suffer with disease, or die.

I don't know if you guys realize this but death was never in God's original plan. Yep, we can blame it on that  "boo boo." Seriously, it's like now what? Right?

Pause break! Shout Out to Josh! My gosh my hands were freezing and he was a nice man next to me I asked to get me some water. Thank you Josh and I pray you will be encouraged by the writings!

Well, how about Jesus?
I'm pretty sure Jesus thinks that death is just so mean and all that bad stuff. I'm remembering a story in the Bible about when Jesus Friend Lazarus died. Jesus wept.

Friends, Jesus Christ is what makes the Easter story. Have you guys put your trust in Jesus Christ? What does the Easter story mean to you? Does it mean that you will live in the presence of God forever?

TBC...........

Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.

Psalm 68:20 NIV

Encouraging thought of the day:

GL "Easter brings hope to the person who has been devastated by Death"
