Before I begin this mornings writing I just want to give a shout out to this nice lady I met yesterday. My husband and I had an early dinner/late lunch yesterday. So, we decided to make it a date night. We went and got some yummy food at our all time fav Diner, Golden Nugget.
We had a waitress that was awesome. She thought I was pretty nice too! I knew midway through my meal I wanted to offer this lady one of my cards! So I asked Joe if he can leave one out on the table so I don't forget!
I had the honey salmon dinner special starting with a garden salad, mashed potatoes , steamed vegetables, garlic bread, and a coconut cream pie for dessert. Joe had the chicken fettuccine alfredo dinner special with cream of potato soup, garlic bread, and he got this chocolate cake thing for dessert. We ended up sharing my coconut cream pie cuz there's no way I would be able to finish that. And that may now be somewhere close to my love for cheesecake!
So, when Joe went up to the register to pay for the meals, Karla, our waitress came by the table. I knew that was my shot to offer her my card. She accepted and when she saw the MS activist she encouraged me by saying she had a sister-in-law a couple years younger than me who also had MS. This girl had a positive attitude as well. Karla, it was so nice meeting you! I pray that you will be encouraged by my writings!
My husband, Joe, is very loving, caring, all that good stuff. He also has common sense. The thought of his wife being put in any type of danger is not something he would want to ever think about. Years ago before I had a caregiver, before Starbucks had a lock on the bathroom door and you had to ask the workers for the code, Joe would always be worried that someone would just go in the bathroom and take advantage of me. It would hurt his heart because I'm disabled. So, if someone ever tries to attack me we can only imagine the end result would not be pretty.
When it comes to the word anywhere, I know I would definitely go anywhere with Joe. I trust him. One can't just develop trust for someone if they just met the person. No because building trust with another human takes time.
God is definitely someone that I would go anywhere he wanted me to go to. Missionaries that travel to really distant and dangerous environments is definitely what is popping in my head right now. Those people are a total encouragement to me!
God told them they needed to go. So what these people did was drop everything that was probably in their comfort zone. They left everything that was comfortable for their daily lives. Missionaries in dangerous parts of the world welcomed whatever was to come because they had Christ to help them along the way!
You don’t need to know where you’re going if you know God is leading. Daily Bread
