Who Are You Listening To?

Good Monday morning! First of all, shout out to Pat, Jan, and Ian. These people were in my Bible study class yesterday before service. What a blessing! I'm praying that you guys will be encouraged by the writings!

Friends, I totally began this morning with a roller coaster of emotions. Are you listening? Are you listening to the right thing? Are you listening to the right spirit? I did not listen to the right  spirit this morning. And, boy did it turn out bad! That's all I will say about that.

Well, my voice is back. That may or may not be a good thing especially if I listen to the wrong spirit and act on his evilness. If you don't know what I'm talking about yet, I'm talking about the Holy Spirit and the evil spirits! Ohl yes, they are there and they're putting thoughts in our mind. And, it is your choice if you want to listen.

I listened to the wrong one. Here's what I think the right Spirit, the Holy Spirit would have said. And, I'm totally guessing. I think what I'm about to say is what we should do. It's what I should have done.

Keep our mouth shut, well at least try. And, if we can't then be very mindful of what we are going to say and how we're going to say it. Stop and think to yourself is this something the Lord would want me to say? Is my tone going to tick the other person off? 

We should definitely pray. Stop and pray at those times. I know right! How do we remember to do that when the chaos is happening right before your eyes. 

That is why I think it's so imperative to listen to the right spirit! The holy spirit will remind you to do the right things. Our job is to just listen.  With God's help act on what he wants us to do. Which spirit are you listening to?
