I would like to introduce myself. I'm Sam's new caregiver Jalesa and I enjoy working for her. She is a sweet lady & always positive. She is a blessed woman & I hope I will be her permanent caregiver.
Sam is not going cry. Time to dive into my writing. I think there's one character in this book of Genesis that doesn't really get mentioned much. In my opinion, he was still a very important part of this book. His character was especially significant in the Bible story of Joseph. Of course, what other story, right? LOL
Benjamin was Jacob's youngest son out of the 12 sons. Benjamin and Joseph's mother was Rachel. Rachel died in childbirth before even seeing the first smile of her son.
During the time of the famine, Jacob told his 11 sons to go to Egypt to buy food. When they got to Egypt, Joseph, being the governor, the person who is in charge of choosing people to get food or not realized something. The brothers didn't know who they were dealing with. They did not know the person who they were speaking with was the same person they sold many years ago.
The brothers bowed down to Joseph. They didn't know who he was but Joseph certainly recognized them. Remember the dream that he had many years ago? The dream that Joseph had? Remember the dream had the brothers and Father bowing down to him? Well that was exactly what the brothers were doing when they wanted some grain.
Joseph was going to give them grain. But, before that, he pretended he thought they were spies. And, that made the brothers tell him about his family. And, Joseph told his family to go back to their homeland and come back with his younger brother. Joseph just said that because he wanted to see his brother. When the brothers went back home, Jacob was afraid of losing his son so he would not let Benjamin go.
The story continues, so I definitely recommend you check it out. What I want to show in my writing today is that Joseph helped with the famine. God will help and possibly use people to help with our struggles as well. Friends, your parents, your spouse, and your loved one are not your true providers. God is your true provider.
God provides what we need. And if he wants to, he can provide what we want. However, friends remember God knows what we want but he's more interested in providing what we need. What he knows we need. Who is the ultimate provider? God is!

Encouraging Thought of the Day:
Friends do you need something? Do you want something? Try asking God. Remember, He knows exactly what you need.
