Happy Monday! Yesterday, was so nice and I really enjoyed myself. Joe and I had hung out and had lunch at Country House with our friends Wayne and Chris after church! Finally! We have been planning for a qlunch date forever! However, for some reason it just never happened! Do you ever get those times where you're planning something over and over and it just never happened and then all the sudden when you don't even think about it, it finally happens! Wayne was just talking to me and Joe after church and he said so when are we going to hang out? And I said what about now? So, that's how bad happened.
Shout out to you two lovely people! I ended up giving them a couple cards yesterday and I kind of can't believe I've never given them one LOL. But, I pray you guys will be encouraged by my writings! Let's do this!
You all have probably heard about my cat Giddy, I'm sure. She loves me some days. I think she hates me some days it seems. She is a female cat, so her and Joe have a different kind of relationship. He shows her love to yet he really disciplines and sometimes yells at her when she's being bad. And that is understandable and that should happen. When Joe would scold her she would listen. If I would, it's a different story. Those of you who know more about cats and are that of cat lovers know about cats and their relationships with humans when it comes to male and female. Me and this cat have a love-hate relationship.
Are "we guys" hating on someone right now. Are we actually holding on to a grudge that keeps growing as days goes by? Am I hitting somebody's nerves?
Check this verse that I read in the Bible this morning. "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." Luke 6:27–28. I know right! Do we really want to do good to those who hate us? Bless? And pray? More like retaliation mode on!
The human thing to do is totally opposite of what God wants to do, concerning this stuff!
That makes sense. Because duh we're all human! However, if we are in a relationship with Jesus Christ, l will call us a special kind of human. Fellow believers, we are supposed to set ourselves apart from unbelievers.
Folks, check this out! Jesus Christ gave a remarkable example following those particular commands God gave us! It was shown by him dying on that cross.
Before he go uncomfortable on the cross, people yelled at him, spit on him, beat him, and probably other harmful things. Did he retaliate physically or verbally? This man did not do anything aas a form of retaliation. Jesus lllchoosing to be go on the cross for us showed that he loved us. He was doing a good thing for us. Jesus was praying to the father probably telling him he didn't want to do what he was about to do, but if it was the father's will he was going to do the father and ask him to do it. 1rgive the people who M to God the Father, and ask him to forgive the people messing with him because " they knew not what they did."
There it is folks. Isn't that what we are trying to do. Aren't we on this Earth trying to be more like Jesus? I think one of many things we should emulate from Jesus are those thinlgs in Luke 6:27 - 28. There is a good start.
