How you like my dad know? Apparently, the reading for the day is typically for the married couples. However, please read this cuz who knows maybe someday you will get married. Or, you know people who are married who could use the advice! Because, believe you me every one should read this. Because, these are some smart words not coming from me but coming straight from the Lord to my heart. Remember I'm just an empty vessel longing to be used to do the wqork of God!
Pastor Greg Laurie had some wise words. He mentioned that a successful marriage is a total commitment. That really means that either you're in for the Long Haul or you're not.
He says if you're not even sure that you were marrying the right then don't get married! Believe me, you will know in your heart you are meant to marry this person. If you're not iat is better to be single!
It was Benjamin Franklin who said, “Keep your eyes wide open before marriage and half shut afterwards.”
Marriage, along with forgiving a person is probably one of the most toughest and challenging things we can ever do. Of course at other times being married is wonderful beautiful, amazing and happy times.
Are you fellow married couples living a successful marriage right now? Am I? To answer that I give a big HA! I don't know about you guys but there are those times when..... never mind. Lord is telling me to stop right there. My blog is not a gossip blog.
Seriously, have you tried asking God for help? Have you asked God to be the centralized focus in your marriaqge? Here are some deep thoughts about how we can make that happen.
First of all, I want you and Sam to take out of your minds you cannot fix your spouse. Because even if you try a little bit, you are guaranteed to run into disaster, and no change. So, praying that your spouse will change is all you can do. Oh, and of course working super hard to fix yourself. You know the deal wives show more respect to your husband. Husband the show love to your wives the way they interpret the word love. Just the basics. May seem tedious, small, or maybe bring on laziness but believe me putting a little effort into doing this stuff will get you on your way to having a more successful marriage!
Let me end with these quotes from Greg Laurie
"Figure this out ahead of time, because wedlock should be a padlock. If you aren’t married yet—even if you’re engaged—and things aren’t working out, then go ahead and break up. If you are not willing to make that commitment, then do everyone a favor and stay single."
