I am finding out something. That thought got stronger earlier when I spoke with my husband. You know what that is? Nope, you probably don't. Unless you are a pretty good guesser, of course. However, my friend, since most are not, I'm going to tell you what I am meaning to say. Yes, I kind of knew this in the back of my head. However, lately, it is becoming more apparent to me. This morning my husband even brought it up, as well.
Okay, enough of my delay, what I've been slowly leading to is this. The closer I am to having a good relationship with God (and my husband), the closer Satan and his demons are trying to get to me and bother me.
I know, it makes perfect sense right?! That is because it is so true. Have you guys ever heard of the crazy cycle? Probably not unless you are married, or not a married couple but have read the books on marriage, or attended marriage seminars.
Let me give you an example. Maybe a husband's trigger is, something that a wife should never try to hit or target at getting. It could be crying. Meaning when the husband sees his wife crying, he explodes. Crying makes the husband swear and all sorts of course language. Total harshness that may even be physical as well as verbally. That, in turn, makes the wife cry some more because the harshness makes her cry. Then it keeps going in a circle. A cycle, if you will.
Now you get why that is called a crazy cycle? My husband and I have certain triggers. Those don't need to be mentioned. Husbands and wives out there have their own triggers. Honestly, don't try to hit your spouse's triggers. Actually, it doesn't even have to be about spouses. Just don't hit your loved one's triggers. I do think we should figure those out so we can prevent them from happening.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
James 4:7 ESV
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 Peter 5:8 ESV
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
