There are a few times, usually in the morning when Giddy will totally choose to respect me and my husband's privacy, and not welcome herself into our room uninvited. She won't come in when the door is even just a little open. Sometimes on weekends, like today LOL, she chose to put the respect to the side and just casually slipped herself in the little opening of our door and just made herself comfortable in the room. Giddy is now chilling on the bed probably taking a nap while I do my reading and husband is sleeping.
Giddy's attitude when it comes to entering our room brought to mind another deep thought. It was thinking that God doesn't enter our lives uninvited. See, God wants more than anything to become a part of our lives. Remember he loves us? So much!
My friends, it's totally up to us. See how much he loves us that he won't even "force" his way in. He wants us to make our own decisions if we want to believe in him and follow him. He gave us free will! I remember the verse about him standing at the door of our heart and knocking.
Folks, I have no idea how it is with you guys. We may feel in our hearts God really knocking. We may just choose to ignore it? Or, maybe one is like a fellow Christian and chose, choose, or will choose to open the door of their heart and let Jesus in?
If you haven't done that yet why not? To anyone who hears the knock on the door of your heart, he promises to come in if you just invite him in. There's no prerequisites or requirements. He's patiently waiting. Do you think that you are one of the ones he's waiting for?
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.
