Is That Enough?

You guys going to church this morning? If it's a yes or no, that's up to you!  I shouldn't care. Well, I can give my opinion. But, I'll save that for another writing. :)

Today, I want to focus on my thoughts of me going or not going to church. Do I go to church every Sunday like a good girl? Well, uh, I had a good reason for not going last Sunday!...No, Sam answer the question! Okay, guess the answer is no! And, you know what? To God, that's really okay. God doesn't expect us to go to church every Sunday. I think he wants us to go. However he knows we're not perfect.

There was a time I honestly used to think that I could stay home every Sunday and just watch Church in TV and listen to Pastors preach, sing along with the gospel choir. And, that was all good. I would be able to call it a day.  I went to church! Kinda.

Oops. Was that wrong thinking!  Listen.... or read rather, what my deep thoughts ended up to be and are now.... Be very mindful, these are my thoughts about myself. So, everyone is different with their own thoughts and opinions. And this is mine. AKA I'm not telling you to go to church. These thoughts are in my heart  I don't know what's in your heart.

As I was saying, my prior thought of Church on TV not being enough. We know that the Lord wants us to encourage others right? The Lord wants us to show love to one another. The Lord wants us to pray for and maybe with one another. The Lord has divinely appointed people in this world to speak to others with the Lord's teaching. We believe that right? I can't explain it, but there is just something calming, holy just a feeling of being at the right place at the right time.

Let me ask you a question. How do we get any of that if we don't go to church and meet with those people. Oh that one Bible verse about meeting together and encouraging one another is coming to my head. See friends, there is no way to have hands on contact and sincere camaraderie with other people if you don't go to church and be in the presence with other people?

Sometimes people tell me they are so encouraged by me and my husband. Because, we drive from all the way north to go all the way south just to go to church. Could we find another church closer to home? Yeah probably. I'm cool with that. However, when I ask my husband. He always says he doesn't feel like the Lord is telling him that yet. Until my husband feels like the Lord is telling him otherwise then we will continue to go to the church. And, I'm cool with that too!

Folks, I challenge you guys to really think about that. Then, ask yourselves should I be going to church? If you want to check out my church, information is on www.NewHopeChurch.Us . Maybe I will see you there! Make sure you say hi!

Hebrews 10:24‭-‬25 NIV

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
