How Do We Find Happiness?

I'm pretty sure most of you who are employed have a pretty short work week! That's something that should make you guys smile right? Shout out to this really nice lady I met Monday who got me hot water! And she also gave one of my cards to her friend. Thank you Anna for the hot water and I pray that you and your friend, Anne, will be encouraged by my readings!

That's not all. Yesterday, me and Brandy we're able to getting contact with many people. And, of course Ms Sam wanted to give out cards! First of all, hello to my Paratransit driver who picked me and Brandy up at Starbucks and brought us back by the n ofeighbourhood!

Brandy and I had lunch at Subway,  so we gave cards to the two owners, and a customer, Anthony. I can't recall the names. So, hopefully Brandy will be able to help me out when I see her later. Then as the day went by, a few hours later, we actually met up with Brandy's cousin and his friend. Calvin was so nice to buy us fish! Did you guys know that at Mariano's all you have to do is buy the fish and then they cook it for you there! It was actually so good! Anyway, so I gave Calvin a card and his friend Marcus. Pray that you two will be encouraged by my writings!

Then, there was this elderly lady at Mariano's, we ended up talking to. And, of course I offered her a card! Her name was Rosemary, and girl I pray you will be encouraged by the writings!

I was also able to give a card yesterday, to Brandice's friend, Nicole who met up with us. Girl it was so nice meeting you!  Be encouraged by my writings! I know right? What a blessing to be able to meet awesome new people and hand out cards filled with my writings of the glory of God! Time to Daven summer reading for the day. I'm going to try so hard to make it short. LOL,

I think I shared before in a writing that when my husband loses things he looks around a little and if he just can't find it he would say " oh well it is gone forever."  Now, when I lose things. I do two things. I will look or attempt to look. And then more than often seriously almost always, it's a fail. It might be under my nose and I still can't see it. The second thing I do is look with my voice. And, that really doesn't end up good. It would just end up annoying people.  Sometimes, I will adjust call app for my husband to find it. He pretty much always does.

The question that is on most people's minds I'm thinking is, " where does one look for happiness? Where can one find
happiness? How does one become happy? Do you think I have the answer to that question? Okay the first thing you do is.... Yeah right! Come on now. Let me stop. LOL

Well, I will say that lifelong happiness isn't in the million dollars you may have used to purchase everything your heart desires! And, I can honestly say that I don't think one will find happiness when one is basking in popularity or fame. I definitely would say that happiness is not found in the drugs you are choosing to take because it temporarily makes you feel wonderful. I don't think forever happiness is even found in  that special someone your falling madly in love with.

I think of Robin Williams and other people who hold fame to their name. Robin Williams turned to other things to make himself happy. So, he thought. So sad. It really goes to show that no one really knows what's inside the peoples heart or how they feel unless they really really know the person. I mean Beyond even personally.

I read in one of my devotions one time a sentence that really popped out to me. The sentence was this. Something to the effect of you are going to be sad before you are really going to be happy.

Before, I became a Christian I really was internally sad I guess, but I just didn't know it. Emptiness is what I'm thinking. Sorry, that's quite too deep to internalize. It too is making my head hurt a little LOL.

To reiterate there really is sadness in our lives. Then when we turn to Jesus and ask him for forgiveness, have a personal relationship with him , then he will take away the sadness, and fill the emptiness!

I want to end my writing with some words from Pastor Greg Laurie. This was read from the devotion I read way back in January.

" We want to find our happiness and our joy in the right place, or more specifically, in the right person, which is God. As we come to know and walk with Him, we will find something better than happiness, and that is joy. We will find joy in our circumstances, regardless of what they say."
