NOW!

Oh boy. Maybe this will be similar to you guys when I say that I want things in the "now" time. I'm not talking about if I'm like in dire need of help because I'm about to totally injure myself. I think it's understandable then if we immediately are seeking help. No, I'm talking about just simple sporadic I want things now. For example, the other day I really wanted this hair styling tool. And, I did all that was in my power to find a cheap one, and to figure out how to purchase it, and was just super persistent.

I was led to making a really big mistake. And, that was arguing and ticking my husband off. Remember that whole verse about wives submitting to your husband, husband love your wives type thing? Well, I don't think I was submitting at that time. I seem to forget at times that because Joe is my husband, he is the man the Lord wants me to submit to. If I don't honor that, all hell will break loose. So to speak. Fellow wives know exactly what I'm talking about.

Timing. It's never about Susie's timing or Tony's timing or Sam's timing or whoever's timing. It's all about God's timing.
And, God always has the perfect timing!

Let me try to think of some kind of advice I can offer you guys and myself as well. This is just some tips I'm thinking about how to really practice patience.

Step 1: I think is to pray if whatever you want is God's will for you even to have.

Step 2: take out the Bible and see if the Lord will lead you to some encouraging words. Not saying he will give you some clarity. But, he just might. And that's always cool to see!

Step 3 kind of like counting sheep. But, count and recite the goodness of God from A to Z. You know like God is Amazing, God is Breathtaking and God is Caring etc.... That always helps. And it gets my mind off of things.

Then, the next step is just to Wait. This is funny, because I'm totally thinking of these things right now because this is what I, myself really need to do. God wants me personally to think. Now, the challenge is for me to remember these points so it does not lead to disagreements, arguments or fights with other people.

Patience is a virtue. :-)

Encouraging thought of the day: Let's all try to practice patience today

Galatians 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law

May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.
