Popularity

I think there are some times in our life where everybody wants to be popular. Right? I probably did for a little bit when I was in high school. However, I think being with a bunch of other people in the minority,  popularity was not really a care of mine. I remember being in a crew in high school. It totally isolated myself from the majority race. We teenagers were stupid back then! 

Now like over 20 years later from high school, not like I'm totally free from doing stupid things. But, don't really have anything to do with popularity or High School.

I remember one day some years ago, I was speaking with my God kids. At the time they were in high school. I asked then what was high school like for them? I asked what the clicks were. Of course it was the same as when I was in high school the jocks the cheerleaderlers etc. Then they said they were part of the band geeks. Some years ago they were saying this girl used to pick fights with them. I remember I did tell them to fight back. Hold up not to say that I'm promoting teenage High School violence. I guess many years later my God kids and this girl who used to mess with them are now friends.

I gues it's pretty much the same when I was in high school. Certain groups of people were isolated from the popular people. You guys probably remember. The Jocks, Cheerleaders, etc.

You ever wonder why it was like that or maybe for certain people it is like that. I'm serious. I'm thinking way back when I was in high school. Wow, did it really have to be like that? My guess is nope. But, it was and, according to my God kids, still is. 

I really don't think that's the way God would want things. Remember he's all about loving one another. How do we show love to one another if we choose to brush them off to the side because we may not like some traits about them. Plain and simple answer is you can't. So, you probably won't. You should but you don't. In order to get that status of popularity, you end up having to please other people.

I have news for you, people who are in high school. That status that you currently have whether it be "popular kid" or "not so popular whatever it is, will be gone as soon as you finish High School, get that high school diploma and start the next chapter of your life!

Then, perhaps the path of former students may cross your path. People you may or may not have known and have been friends or not have not been friends with in high school may somehow get your attention.b

I know with the technology nowadays being so advanced, anything can happen right? Right now I'm thinking you suddenly might get a friend request from someone you haven't seen in 20 years!

Friends, things are temporary. Stop doing crazy stuff just to please other people.The only person you should concentrate on pleasing is God!

Oops, I had to go back to my writing for the day because I need to give some shout-outs. Thank you Bryan for getting me hot water. Then, there was this lady Jackie standing next to me cause.
