Some Are Like Tea Bags

I am a born again Christian believer in Jesus Christ. You might be a born-again Christian believer as well. If you are, or if you're not, I think you're totally going to get what I'm going to be speaking about in this writing. You might even be going through it right now?

I will give you a little scenario. These are fun, because their really is no way of calling anyone out. Even if there's just a hint of targeting someone in my mind.

Anyway here goes. Let's use the name Shelly. Shelly has been a born again Christian for 13 years. She goes to church every Wednesday for prayer meeting, every Saturday 4 Saturday evening service every Sunday for Sunday morning service as well. Shelly sings on the worship team at church. Shelly is leader of the woman's Bible study group. Shelly cleans up the church so it's ready for church services. Shelly is head Deaconess at the church. Shelly has three children. Boy and girl twins, 16 years of age and a two year old toddler that is a boy. Shelly is The Minister's Wife.

Wow, Shelly is a busy lady. Can you guys picture her as a pretty "on fire" Christian for God? Yeah probably so. However, just like me and you, Shelly is like a "tea bag."

What on Earth is Samantha talking about? Think about it first how are Christians like tea bag. Really how is any one Christian or not like a tea bag?

Let's continue with Shelly 's story. One day, the police went over to her home in the middle of the night, and told her that her 16 year old daughter was just pronounced dead because of a fatal car accident. The daughter was driving under the influence. Shelly was so heartbroken.

A few days later, Shelly was having such excruciating pain and needed her husband to bring her to the hospital. The doctors told her there were complications and she needed to have open heart surgery immediately. And, she was also told that if she chose to have the surgery, there was a less than 20% chance she would come out of the surgery alive.

Do you think Shelly, was praising God. Let's just say the praising her God or even acknowledging that God can help her came at a later time.

Christians are like tea bags. If you don't know what I'm getting at let me tell you. You don't know how people are really like, until they're put in hot water. Now, did you get it?

Folks, remember Jesus will help you when you pass through the water, especially hot water!

Isaiah 43:2‭ NIV

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.  For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.
