Harshness. God, Help Me To Remember!

Oh, how I forget. And oh boy, not really a good thing to forget. Dear Jesus help me to always remember! Well,

The word "always" won't happen. So, help me to remember most times. Yes, that's what I'll say!

Perhaps, you all are like me. Meaning, when a loved one begins and is constantly verbally being harsh. The loved one may also add in additional cuss words too while hollering as well. Of course, I can be that loved one as well. Those words may or may not be directed to you. But, when they are.....ouch! Am I right?

When I find myself in this situation. That, I turned over to the dark side so to speak. Or, my husband, friend, or whoever turns to that ugly place, I know I should remember. But, I often forget this fact. And, that is this. It's not entirely that person's fault.

Wait, well let me explain more because the person, of course, has some fault because he or she is the one choosing to do the yelling and being harsh.

However, I really should understand and not forget that the person being harsh to me is being influenced. I'm imagining we are still confused. When I find myself being harsh to someone, it eventually does become entirely my fault if I chose to let myself enter into the evil one's domain and decide to listen. Then I am giving birth to the sin.

Okay, it all starts in the mind. And, the evil one loves to put bad thoughts in your mind. Remember, the Bible story of the evil serpent tempting Eve to get a taste of that forbidden fruit. The serpent would say all these lies in order for Eve to fall into sin.

Guys, that is exactly what is happening to us currently. Want to read what my solution is? We need to speak up. We need to know what it says in the word of God. Because of what Jesus did for us we don't have to listen to evil. Because of what Jesus did for us, evil has to listen to us and once they hear what we have to say, I don't think they're going to like it. And, when we choose to say stuff like get away from me Satan in Jesus name then, they will go! And, we will like that!

Moral of the story folks is trying not to get too mad at the loved ones when we sound too harsh. We need to be forgiving. We need to learn to extend Grace. Jesus forgives us and he wants us to do the same for others! I know it is difficult to do. Believe me, I know.

Proverbs 15:1 ESV

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh 4 stirs up anger.

Ephesians 4:29 ESV

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

James 4:7 ESV

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Genesis 3:1-24 ESV

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” ...
