Don't Do That!

Doesn't my title remind you of Sophie from 2 Broke Girls? Anyway....

So when I first posted this, I forgot to give a shout out to Erin!
She was this lovely lady I have met before and give her a card before. She got me hot water today and I gave her another card that she is giving to her friend Aisha. Aisha I pray you will be encouraged by the writings! Have a wonderful day!

Hi to Deez friends Joseph and Jason! Thanks for accepting my cards! I pray you will be encouraged by the writings.

Hi to 2 very nice women named Linda and Georgia! I pray you two ladies will be encouraged by the writings! Have a blessed day!

Hi to Marquita.  We were just about to cross the street and she was standing to the right of me and D. I pray you will be encouraged by the writings, Marquita! Also, I want to say "Hi" to two people who were asking for directions while we were sitting on benches outside.  Hi to Andrew and Joy. I pray that you two will be encouraged by the writings!  Thank you to Al! Thank you for opening my madeleine wrapper! I pray you will be encouraged by the writings!  Have a great Friday!

My husband wanted to go to the DMV this weekend but then changed his mind to go Monday because he says there would be a lot fewer people. I actually was kind of bummed. But whatever.  I know right? I was bummed about not being able to go to the DMV! Who wants to go there? Who would like to be around a lot of people and do something normal people do?

Me! I have an answer! My answer is I do, with my hands raised like a student in High School. Can you tie a shoe? Can you button a shirt? Can you zip closed your makeup bag? Can you put clothes on and take them off without assistance? Can you put clothes on or take them off without having to sit down or lay down if you had no one to assist you? Can you open a wrapper say for like madeleines? Can you walk?  I can go on and on! Honey, if you can do those things and then some, well then you better feel encouraged! There are some people out there who cannot.  It may be a lot worse than what you think.

Pause break! It just dawned on me that I didnt give D's hubby a shout out! So, Jack hope you'll be encouraged by my writings!

So, as far as the title for this writing, let me say this. Please don't do this. I mean please don't take for granted the little things you can do.  You may not realize it but the little things you do are a lot bigger than what you think.

Philippians 4:11-12 ESV

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.

Hebrews 13:5 ESV

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
