What is Sam talking about? Sam is talking about the "Logging" of when and how and when my trips to the toilet went. I can totally understand when it can be annoying to some people. For example my husband would get annoyed because he's trying to go to sleep, but I have to log my pee first. Or, sometimes my fingers feel so weak, I just cannot do it. So, I feel like I have to call on the help of my husband or caregivers. So yeah, that's what I do. To reiterate, I record certain daily ADL (Adult Daily Living) activities, like peeing. I told you I don't think you guys do this too! Well, I don't know, maybe there's a couple of you who do.
Anyway, so I do this whole "logging" thing because I feel that is helps me. Sometimes I am being told by loved ones that God won't help me unless I help myself! So, I thought about that saying because doesn't that defeat the purpose of God always saying he will help us when we call on him? Maybe, not the way we want that to be.
One time in August, I was reading my daily bread devotional and the part about us needing to help ourselves so God will help us was addressed. And, nowhere was it found in scripture, says the author. But God sees and knows we need help. God’s Word teaches us to depend on Him for our daily needs.
When I think about it, it whatever he did to allow totally helped me! So, I came across this verse. Jesus tells us, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:26–27).
I want to end my writing for the day with these words. “Trust God. He will take care of you.”
