He Knows Our Name

Before I do my writing I just want to do something. Let us all have a moment of silence to stop, think and pray for the loved ones of the lives that were taken 17 years ago.
Let us all take a moment to remember the thousands of lives lost in 9/11. This is the day when everybody remembers where they were 17 years ago and what they were doing......

Okay, now let's  dive in. Isn't it just a good feeling? When somebody knows your name. When they call you by name. I don't know if it is the same for you guys, but it just makes me feel good that they know my name.

It's cool that they know my name . I don't know I can't explain it. It's like when they call me by name, even if I don't know the person that well there's like a sense of afriendshipq You feel respected more when they know your name. Don't you feel kind of special?

And, the atmosphere  is more comfortable with the person, when they call you by name.
It's kind of a differenmt type of feeling when they say ma'am, sir, or buddy, right? There's still that sense of respect, but it's just different.

Every time I pass out my cards no matter where I am, when I first start talking to the 111stranger I am right away asking, "what's your name?' Why do I ask that?

Well, for three reasons. One, I know it changes the atmosphere once I asked for the name. It then becomes more comfortable, too. The second reason is because , I love learning new names. Sometimes I hear a name that is really unique! And 3, I definitely ask their name so that I can give them a shout out by name on my blog!

Did you know that God knows your name? God knows your past. God knows your present. And, God knows your future. God knows it all!

I remember one day again listening to Moody Radio on the way to church. Pastor of Moody Church was talking about the Titanic. When God first saw the Titanic, what he saw was the iceberg. What he saw were the many people who lost their lives. He knew all of them by name.

What about you? Do you know God? God definitely knows you. He knows you by name! He knew you even when you were still developing in your mother's womb! He loves you. He wants nothing more than for you to know him and to have a relationship with him. Friend, ask yourself do you really know God? Because he really knows you. He knows you by name!

Have a great evening!

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
