Let me think and share a scenario that would put more imagery to what I'm saying. Okay, let's say this random person leaves for their job every morning at 7 a.m. This person starts to read their Bible at 6:45 a.m. So, as this person is reading, uh oh, 7 a.m. is drawing near.
So what right? This person is reading the Bible! Doesn't God
like it and want us to read the Bible? Why, yes of course He does! He says many times in his word the context referring to: "he wants us to read the Bible." I'm thinking that the content of his words in his Word is pretty much that he wants us to apply it to our lives.
You get that? I hope so. Now, here's when it may get kinda tricky, and not a good thing. Let me get back to my made up example.
This person that has to go to work leaves home at 7 a.m. Satan is putting in this person's mind "You're almost done you should finish reading the Bible now!" (Maybe you are almost done reading the Bible, but what about if there's traffic or some other reason you may be late to work.)
You told yourself that you would leave by 7 a.m. so you can get to your work by 8.
Consider this. God also says in his word that we must follow Authority. He also wants us to do that. Please don't misunderstand. We should always make time to read the word of God. But, we also need to be smart about when to make the time to read it.
Ooh consider this too. I have another Deep Thought.
Yes, the Lord definitely wants to be our number one priority. However, he has made a set of rules and commands he wants his children to follow. And, by obeying his commands, we are showing the Lord that he is our number one priority. Most importantly, we are making ourselves credible in our appearance and actions. That, in turn would make other people possibly listen to what we say. I am thinking about sharing Christ with others.
If one is a credible person, then the people they would be speaking to would be more likely to listen right?
An additional deep thought that I had was this. I don't think that God wants us to feel worried,
frustrated, or preoccupied in our minds thinking. "Oh no what if I'm going to be late for work? " Think about it, when we read the word of God, God would want us to give him our full attention. Do you guys understand what I'm saying? I hope I'm making sense. It makes sense in my head. LOL. I totally see this as coming from the the evil one.
God is not a God of disorder, frustration, confusion, anger, and more. The evil one is! We need to remember that.

Let me end with an example from me personally. For more than 10 years now, God has had me up at 3 a.m. everyday using that time to spend with him. You all are probably thinking why so early? I don't know. However, I do have my own personal reasons.
He doesn't want to compete or share His time with your other leisures of this world.
Waking up super early is not for everyone. Honestly, I didn't like it at first. I was cool waking up at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. But, that'sbl not what God wanted. And, now look at me. I do know someone who sleeps at 8 p.m. every evening. Then wakes up at 4:30 am every morning. Do you think I knew that God was going to have me sleep at 10 every night and then wake up at 3 every morning? And, it's a surprise to everyone how much energy and how refreshed I look with only about 5 hours of sleep! When you wake up and start the day with God, it will give you a smile!
