Patience Shows Love

Shout out to Isaac.  Thanks for helping me get my lip liner cover.  I hope that you will be encouraged by my writings!

Shout out to Terrell the new employee at Starbucks! Was great to meet you! I pray you will be encouraged by writings!

I am really thinking that the writing for the day can really be of help to other fellow married couples. I also think that some of you may have an inkling to what my writing will be about today, mainly because of my title.

How long have you guys been married? I have been married a little bit more than 10 years. I know right? Sometimes I can't even believe it. Let me pinch myself really quick to remind myself this  reality. LOL

Out of those 10 years, was there a time frame where my marriage was free from bitter quarrels but just filled with ultimate bliss? (Rolling my eyes and shaking my head) . My answer to that is a big fat no!  Honey, if that was the case that would make us perfect! And you do not want me to start talking about perfection and my feelings on that, right?  Perfection does not happen with humans. Perfection only happens with God!

I heard about someone who broke up with his wife twice. And, it was one of those ugly breakups. The kind where the sentence "I never want to see you again" was part of their conversation. They would go through those bad yucky times, but then later they would always come back together and that was so very encouraging to me.
Pastor Greg Laurie says, "If you’re really in love with someone, if your love is real, then it will stand the test of time."
My husband and I both struggle with that fruit of the spirit, patience.  One more than the other? Probably. However, not going to say anything about that.  We both don't have the patience thing down.  That's all I want to say about that.  We should focus on our spouse choosing to (or trying to) have patience because your spouse loves you. Sam, your spouse loves you.  Sam and fellow married couples, remember to trust each other's hearts. My husband is a good-willed man. Is yours?

Let me end with some words from Pastor Greg Laurie."And once you’ve married someone, you need to be patient with that person, because marriage will try your patience. Love is patient. In what is known as the definitive chapter on love, we’re told that “love is patient and kind"

Love is patient and kind.
