Use It If You Still Can

I would like to give a shout out to Terrance and Phillip from the Thompson Center. Thanks for the kind words. I would also like to shout out Phillips niece Kai Meyers! I hope you guys find encouragement in my writings and have a great day!

I like to use my mouth a lot. Get your mind out of the gutter! What I mean is this. There are times that I may get scolded by Joe, my caregiver or my therapist because I'm not using the proper muscles.

Let me change that sentence and say. I like to use my teeth, more specifically rather than my mouth. I gather your mind is behaving a little bit better now.

One thing I am as well is impatient. Hey, I'm still working on the patience thing. But for now, still impatient sometimes, most times. This morning I was using my teeth to put my underwear on. Picture that difficulty right. But amen, because I did it!

As I was saying, mouth, a lot. An example I can think of is this. My contacts case. I know I should use my fingers, use my hands to try to open it. But, it is difficult for me because sometimes I can't control my hand and I may end up dropping it. And that's another problem. I don't like to risk falling on the floor because I'm trying to pick it up. Or, I don't want to risk waking up Joe and calling him and asking him to pick up my contact case for me. That's why, I will use my teeth.
I do praise God, because I still have hands that are at times workable. I also praise God for giving me my mouth. Teeth that is. Which also still is workable. I know this writing may seem silly to other people. Then to people, who know exactly what I'm going through, a Eureka type of thing is going on in their head. " oh yeah why don't I use my mouth?"

So, yeah I could definitely share many other examples of ways you can use your mouth (teeth) if your hands are being difficult. Sometimes I use them to unzip or zip. If you do that, be careful you don't zip your lip. Ouch.

Just this morning I used my teeth to open my makeup bag here at Starbucks. Wonderful outcome. :-)

Pause break! Shoutout to Vincent. He was the plaintiff lawyer in court today.  Pretty awesome Daley Plaza! Vincent, thank you so much for all your help and thank you for accepting my card. I pray you will be encouraged by the writings and other stuff on my card!
I started my writing at the condo before me and Joe left for starbucks and Court. So we went to court and now I'm back at Starbucks. Vincent, thank you for graciously accepting my card! I pray you will be encouraged by my writings and other stuff on my card!

After court I stayed here at Starbucks again. Stupid me dropped my scarf on the floor! Joe went to work. So, thank you to Sammy for getting my scarf that fell on the floor. And, thank you for graciously accepting my card. I pray that you will be encouraged by my writings and other stuff on the blog!

Back to my reading. No, wait I just want to throw something else in that was so encouraging to me. So, we were at court and on the wall to the left of me was the phrase "In God We Trust"! I felt a little bit more comfort :-)

Okay seriously now back to the writing. Well I was totally using my mouth to open my roller on makeup earlier here at Starbucks. OK, I think you get that. Your mouth can be used for many wonderful things!. Oh oops great again, get your mind out of the gutter! I'm so tempted to say that's what she said. Oops I just said it , huh? Let me stop right there. LOL

Let me just end this writing with a thank you to God. I want to give a big thank you to God for providing other stuff other bodily functions, and the mindset to utilize those other things. Specifically I mean using those other things when the primary tools are handicapped.
God is Awesome! Thank you God for just being awesome! Samantha's deep thoughts. Out!

Encouraging thought of the day: In God We Trust

Proverbs 3:5 - 6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He make your path straight.

2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work
