I don't know. I think for me, I wouldn't say that I do a lot of pondering about things. I do sometimes, but I don't think a lot. Come to think of it, I probably should. We all probably should Because that means, we would be deeply thinking more about things. Definitely be spending more time thinking about this or that.
And, wouldn't there be less of a chance we'd mess up?"Think more before you do things!" That thought is what comes to mind. :)
We aren't the only ones who did a lot of pondering. Mary, the mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ pondered as well. Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19
Friends, it's the season of Christmas! Fellow believers, are we spending this time truly pondering about what December 25 really means to us? It's the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! If it wasn't for his birth, then that would mean there would be no death. So, ponder a little about that. Then ponder about how thankful we should be that we have this day of Christmas!
When this season comes rolling around, it always makes me think or (ponder) :) about when it comes to non-christians, what exactly do they think about Christmas? Why exactly are they celebrating Christmas? Do you ever think about that?
My husband told me one year his thoughts and they totally made sense. He was saying it's more of a "Pagan" thing. They see Christmas as more about gift-giving, red and green, singing Christmas carols like Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer etc. More of the Christmas carols that do not pertain to Jesus.
Not giving glory to Jesus on his birthday?! How would you feel about that? If everybody forgot your birthday and didn't even say happy birthday to you. Well, that was a sad thought.
To the non-christians,. Do you think that maybe now is the time to ponder about Jesus? Just saying.....
