Powers Series Part 27: Power In Recognition

What is the usual and normal reaction when something bad happens? If we see with our own eyes, hear with our own ears, or from someone telling us? Or, feel with our own touch that something bad happened, don't we get mad? I assume we certainly do not feel good, but pretty bad? Major feeling of annoyance or frustration with the other party or even ourselves? Sound familiar? Something bad happening right now with anyone of you guys?

Fellow Christians, I'm going to give myself and you guys some advice. Definitely a strong reminder I think I need to really remember often. The recognition of God's goodness!

Oh, how I know I fail in this oh so much! Because the human thing to do is the opposite of what we should do! What is your reaction when you were told you were being fired from a job? What is your reaction when you were told your spouse is leaving you? What is your reaction when you just find out about a death of a loved one?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty sure  right away I would be pretty upset. That would be my initial reaction. Hopefully that would change. However, I wouldn't be able to tell you how, when, or even if that change would happen. I pray it will but I don't know.

Let me share this
Story from the Bible from our friend Job.
Wow, what a faithful guy! This man suffered from so many things physically and mentally. And, his reaction to everything is giving so much praise to God! Would you guys do that? Sam, would you do that? There is definitely power in recognizing God's goodness!
