Power Series Part 32: Power Of Focus

When I was in my last year of college at the University of Illinois at Chicago, my professors came to me with this. It was a pretty ultimate shock! You know what it was? They were telling me that I was short credit hours. And, there would be no chance that I would graduate on time!

What? I know right that's exactly what I thought! " Professor, is there anything I can do? Extra assignments? Extra credit? Anything?!" I think they can see that my desperate cry was legit. And, I was willing to exert all the effort! They gave me the opportunity. I was spending all nighters writing papers, doing double to Triple the assignments. I was definitely focused!

I had one goal. One goal in mind. I was going to graduate college that year! The end result was, because I was extremely focused, 

I chose not to go out with friends, dates with my boyfriend, or any other fun extravaganzas. I studied I studied hard. I worked,extra extra hard! The end result was Samantha Tongol ( full name at that time) got her diploma in July of 2003!

Fellow Christians, consider this. When we stop for a minute, clear our minds, be  still and completely focus our  hearts on Jesus Christ, I believe if we will be mindful and remember the love we have for him...When we focus our hearts on Jesus, I think the more we will be obedient. Or at least try to be obedient.

All I know is that when we put other things like distractions
aside and just focus our mind on Jesus this might happen. Check it out, good things just might happen.  Try it.
