Power Series Part 33: Power of The Left Hand ( God Provides, Surprise!)

I think the vast majority of people are right handed. Maybe not if we're talking about the whole world and make that assumption. That I wouldn't know.

What I do know, and am very familiar with is my own characteristic with the subject of comfortability with the right or left hand. Let's go back to birth then evaluate the " now or most recent times regarding my own life."

I was born as a right handed person. I wrote with my right hand. I was comfortable holding things, controlling things, having more strength, coordination, snd overall good dexterity with my right hand. I would definitely say that I was a " right handed person."

Fast forward to now and most recent years? It's a different, oh so different story. Utilizing my right hand to do things is just not comfortable for me anymore. Sadly to say, I don't even have any penmanship.
I do try though by writing something everyday. Current results? No comment. To reiterate, I do try.

Actually, some may label me as " both right and left handed or ambidextrous." I can see that. Not with all things, would I prefer my left hand over my right. But, for some things. Let me explain.

Can most, born right handed people do their makeup with their left hand successfully and comfortably with little to no mess ups? No? Well I can! I amaze myself when I see the final results.

Oh, did I forget to mention I don't use a mirror? Nope, because I can't focus on how my makeup looks and hold a mirror while putting on my makeup. I usually do my makeup, and then I have a little circular hand held mirror I can look at or I also use my mirror from my Compaq. Then, I put it down, and go on to the next set of makeup. I guaess when I think about it, it does seem kind of surprising to people.

My husband still can't believe that I do my makeup the way I do. It freaks him out when I'm putting eyeliner on my eyelids or mascara on my eyelashes. He thinks that I'm going to poke my eye. So far I've never done that. Hopefully I never will. I remember when my cousins were visiting from Vegas. We were in the car on our way to my other cousin's wedding. And, I was touching up my makeup. I was just retouching my powder and my blush. My cousin saw that I wasn't using a mirror. She was just so surprised and couldn't understand how I was able to do it perfectly well. I was just smiling.

Folks, yeah I was born with my right hand as my dominant hand. However, many years later I was dealing with something that pretty much put a blockage on me using my right hand. Oh yeah, that was very unfortunate for me. Yep that was the bad news.

The good news is that God provided another way. God knew beforehand that Sam was no longer going to be able to utilize her right hand like she did before. He knew Sam still loved to do her makeup. So, God provided a very unique way for her to still do it
Seriously, I never thought I would have ever in my wildest dreams have thought I would have been able to do my makeup with my non-dominant hand and no mirror.

In the past, caregivers I've had that have seen me do my makeup while using my left hand and no mirror were just so surprised that I was able to do it. I remember one of my caregivers before said I should do a YouTube video. I should do like a tutorial to show people that they can still do stuff (Like put on their makeup) even if they're sick. It would be like that of an encouragement to people she said. I agree, maybe one day I'll do something like that. :-)

The moral of the writing is God provides and God knows what his children love and he loves to give it to them because he knows it makes them happy. People who see me do my makeup at Starbucks might not know God. And, I don't know but maybe people are looking at me and thinking wow, I've read that girl's stuff before (this blog) She really trusts this Jesus guy. Maybe, I should give her God a chance? Maybe I should do some research on my own about this guy? Maybe, I should go talk to someone  who loves God and ask them to talk to me more about God? That would be awesome!

I'll tell you what I do notice and I'm pretty confident in saying. See, I think when I drop things on the floor especially when I'm doing my makeup. Is that really an accident God? Yeah it's a legit accident on my part but I think for some reason God is making it or allowing it to fall on purpose. I don't know? Could it be so I havea reason to speak to people, and give them my cards?
