Let me give you a time line of mine and Joe's courtship all the way to marriage and then some perks and stuff. I first met Joe in June/July summer of 1999. Then he asked me to be his girlfriend or love. LOL oh the 90s.
Anyway, total dating took about 9 years and some months. So, if you do the math correctly. Yea, we finally got married 2008. Why did we have such a long courtship? You ask me? I can't answer that because I really don't know. I was ready way before we made it to 9 years. I just needed to wait for him to pop the question.
I remember Steve Harvey was telling his audience this. Women operate on a biological clock. Men however, operate on a financial clock. Women would prefer a speed on the marriage thing so they can have babies and be nurturing and stuff.. Men, on the other hand are more concentrated on having enough money to support and provide for their women. So, I just patiently waited.
Moral of this writing is even though I wanted it. It was not meant to happen yet. Because, it was not yet God's time. We can keep praying for something till we're blue in the face. However, if it's not God's time then it won't happen until He says it can.
I definitely don't think you should stop praying because nothing is happening, but just be mindful that they may not be happening yet, but it will happen. The final result may end up in your favor. Or, it may not. However, just remember God always answers prayers. It just might not end up to be exactly how we wanted answered.
Let's Pray. Father thank you for caring for us so much to have a will for our lives. Help us not to doubt your plan for us. Help us to show more patience and be ok if the final outcome doesn't fall in our favor. Love You Lord in Jesus name we pray amen
I would just like to give a shout out to Portia, Tekecia, and this gentleman Dominique. I pray then you three people will be encouraged by the writings! And have a blessed day! :-)
Genesis 3:17 ESV
And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
Romans 12:2 ESV
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
