In Agnes. Thank you Brad for taking the knot out of my headphones and 4 sticking it back in my phone. Thank you to Dicey forpicking up my hot pack from the floor and putting it back in my glove. I hope you guys will be encouraged by my writings!
Many years ago, when I used to drive, this happened. I remember I would get into a handful of small but still insurance involved car accidents. I mean I was certainly thankful these car accidents I had been in with me as the driver never resulted in me having a hospital stay. That was a good thing.
Now, since the puzzle pieces are put together, that definitely explains a lot. I mean my weird vision at times when I got behind the wheel. See, folks who thought I was a crazy rebel like an impulsive driver? I legitimately had a weird vision.
Anyway, before my crazy driving came to light, I remember one morning I remember driving on my way to my community college and I was behind another car and I ended up rear-ending him. He wasn't too happy. We then had a court date.
The day of the court date came and I was ready. I was expecting to plead guilty and my dad was going to pay the $100. When we got to the courthouse, the mean man totally shocked me. The accident was totally my fault. And, I was expecting the worst and just going through sleepless nights of trying to figure out how I'm going to pay my dad back
I was still a teen in college. Car accidents, owing to your parents a lot of money, and suffering even more by being grounded and not hanging out with your friends driving the car again is just bitter icing on the cake! That's like the end of the world to a kid.
Then came the day of the court date, and I had the shock of my life. The gentleman that I had rear-ended totally had a change of heart. He dropped all the charges. I didn't understand why. But, and just remember hey did the only thing I could think of and I gave him a hug. And don't think my parents understood why. LOL I wonder if my dad still remembers that. Such a beautiful memory that the Lord didn't want me to forget!
Now, that was an act of Grace. Reminds me of Jesus' Grace to us. He died so that we would not have to go to hell. We did not deserve in that. We are pretty bad people. But, he didn't care. He just loves us so much that he stopped us from having to die to sin and gave us the gift of eternal life!
Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Let's pray. Father thank you for the gift of eternal life. I pray for those who haven't accepted your gift of eternal life. Pray that you would touch the hearts of those who haven't yet embraced you as Lord and savior. For it is by Grace we have been saved. We love you Lord Jesus name, Amen.
