Shout out to a new Starbucks worker Mia! Thank you for stopping by and speaking with me and accepting my card. I pray you will be encouraged by my writings! Have a blessed one!
I get it. Most if not all people would like to see with their own eyes and touch with their own fingers things before they will choose to believe anything.
It makes sense. People live by the actuality of things or logic. If people nowadays, see with their own eyes Jesus Christ? Or literally hear the words spoken by Jesus Christ? Or see a miracle performed by Jesus Christ? Then I'm sure there would be more believers in the world.
However, that's just not the way God wants it to work. I guess that's just how the Lord wanted it. No doubt, God could appear to any one of us and have a personal encounter with us. But, like I said he chooses not to. I am pretty sure, Jesus Christ is more interested in the people he created having faith that Jesus Christ is who He really is. I guess that is why He repeatedly and repeatedly says in his word to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved!
When I was a young girl, I obeyed my parents because that's what we children are supposed to do right? Well, okay maybe my obedience was not as often as it should have been? I really can't remember specifics. I am a daddy's girl, and an only child. You guys can let your mind ponder. :-)
My upbringing is where I first learned about the name Jesus Christ. And later discovered that there were some things of what I learned that were thoughts and actions that were not totally coinciding with God's words in the Bible. But, I chose to believe in Jesus. Well, kinda. I wouldn't say my life was practicing what I preached, so to speak.I mean the Bible does say something about outsiders seeing by the way you live your life if you are truly a Christian. And living your life as a Christian is a good way you show others a good testimony of being a Christian.
I confess traits of Christianity was not found or evident in my life. Nope. Not until age 15, when my aunt told me about Jesus Christ, and what He did for me, what he is doing for me, and the glorious things to come with what he will do for me.
I had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. No no. Not an actual face to face encounter… More like a knock to the heart thing. Then, I gladly let Jesus in my life.
My friends, perhaps
you should ask yourself where exactly are you when it comes to your belief in Jesus Christ? Are you thankful for Jesus Christ and what he has done for us? Have you told him? Have you felt the knock of Jesus in your heart and did you let him in?
Revelations 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me
Acts 16:31
They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Hebrews 11:6
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewarxds those who earnestly seek him.
