Sometimes God Does This

Play for the Audio Version

There are times people who dont believe in God or kind of do but are not born again ask me something. They ask me to pray to my God, say for healing for example. I am flattered I was asked. "Ofcourse I will pray!", is what I will say.

Sometimes the healing happens and the prayer they wanted to be answered will be answered. Sometimes it will not. And that's not good for the person who asked for prayer. Uh oh, sometimes I speak to that person again. Sometines not. Does that person still think I hsve a place reserved for me up in Heaven? ( and no I don't believe that they're are reservations for people in Heaven.) You know what though?

I know that I do the same exact thing. What I mean is, I will contact someone, maybe my pastor or somebody who is high up in the liturgical realm of things. Yeah, maybe I will just rely on their prayer. What? Do I think God would only choose to listen to their prayer but not mine? Why would that be the case? Am I not as faithful as the other? Oh, no that's just wacky talk. You must be insane or mentally unstable to be thinking like that.

Folks, stop thinking like that if you do. There is no one that is more holier-than-thou or whatever you guys call it. If you know Jesus then yay and, Jesus knows you like he knows the next person that knows him. If you don't know Jesus? Then that's your bad. And that's between you, yourself and the Lord. Don't worry about other people's relationship with the Lord. You have your own relationship to worry about.

Please don't start searching for someone you think has a " reserved place in heaven!" Seriously, what does that even mean?

John 3:1-8

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of crowns unless he is Born Again...
