I would not be surprised if the reaction after hearing the phrase "April 20, 1999 Columbine" just brings back bad memories and chills up and down your spine. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Columbine was a high school in Colorado that underwent a nasty deadly school shooting.
Many killings of innocent kids were done by 2 sick and deranged boys. That was the deadliest school shooting at that time. The sad thing is instead of this horrible incident being put to rest, it actually happened again and another school many years later? So SAD!
There is one story from this Columbine tragedy that was really interesting to me. It was about one of the girls that were killed. Her name was Rachel Scott. Her story was super cool. She knew the boys that killed her. One of the boys approached this young girl and asked her if she believed in God. Her answer will determine whether she lived or died. She just responded," You know I do!" The killer responded back, "Then go be with him! And shot and killed her along with many other students.
Wow, I can only hope I can emulate exactly what that lady did if ever I was put in a situation like that. Yeah, I'll say I would do the same thing. Now, put me in a situation similar to what she went through and I have no idea if I would actually "walk what I talk"."
There are many people in this world today that are being persecuted on different levels of persecution. Some may not be that bad. Some situations may lead to death. Folks, are you being prosecuted? Are you being persecuted because you stand and shout loud and proud that you believe in Jesus Christ? Yes, you bet persecution sucks! However, just think when we see Jesus his words to us would probably be
Something like well done my good and faithful servant. Well done!

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
