Frenemies

 Play for the Audio Version

Good morning everybody. I'm going to start my writing today before Glady comes. The title of the writing for the day is Frenemies!

First of all, since she's not here yet, let me talk about her. Kind of funny cuz she's going to hear this later LOL Well, some of you may know from past writings, that I have had more than a handful of caregivers. I really don't know. They just never seem to work out.

Then, more than 10 years later I was given a caregiver named Glady. Glady is actually originally from Florida! I know what some of you guys may be thinking. Why Chicago from Florida? Isn't the weather in Florida better than Chicago! Oh friends, Glady did not move to Chicago for a change of weather. She moved to Chicago for a change of scenery. No, more like she just needed to leave that scenery.

Living in Florida, was probably daily torture for her. I see that because everywhere she would look she
would see something that reminded her of her deceased twins. So that's the reason, a pretty good reason I may add why she left Florida.

Glady is like twice my age. Well not yet. She just turned 30. I'm not LOL For real though I will be 40 on May 11 next year. Time to really enjoy the last year in my thirties.

Today's reading is going to be a challenge. Well, every day really is a challenge when it comes to my writings. I've written about family. I've learned about friends. Today it's time to write about enemies. Dun dun dun!

First of all, do we all know who our true enemy is? For us wives out there, no our husbands are not the enemy. Although they do like to think that way sometimes and say it don't they?

Do you think your enemy is living here on this Earth? When it comes to all people on this Earth, I don't think the Lord will correlate the word enemy to anyone here. Remember the Lord is all about loving one another?

Folks, remember I've mentioned repeatedly in my blogs that no one is perfect. Yes, we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God!

Are you guys trying to think of someone down here who was an enemy to you? Stop that! If so stop that! Our real enemy might be using people down here to make them appear like they're your enemy. But they're not.

Our true enemy is the same as the enemy of God. Evil is the true enemy Satan and his evil demons are the true enemies. The bad stuff they put in our minds is coming from the true enemy.

The next time another individual hurts you like crazy, makes you cry sad tears, or perhaps kills your loved ones, remember they are not your enemy. But they were influenced by the true enemy!

Let me end this reading with some words that Glady told me. Her words both stunned, shocked, and amazed me.

Remember how she mentioned about how her cousin and her twins died from a drunk driver of a semi truck? Well, she forgives the man. She forgave the man. Of course, the death of her three-year-old boy and girl twins left her and still leaves her sometimes with the memories of that devastating day. However, can you believe she actually can say she forgave the man! Honestly, just thinking about it if I was in her shoes I don't think I would be able to do that. But I don't know. Let me leave you with Glady and she can explain how she can do it. It really does amaze me how she can.

Luke 6:27‭-‬30

"But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.

Matthew 5:43 - 45

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your
Father who is in heaven.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
