Practice

Play for the Audio Version

l think I have to write about what I plan on reading about today. I say that because of these reasons. First of all, we must not all forget that I am a human being. Are you all thinking, oh wow this Sam person is so eloquent, and sounds like such a Godly person who probably practices what she preaches everyday, every hour. She really knows her Bible!

If those are your thoughts I say this. Have you had your morning coffee yet? And, if you are not a coffee drinker let me ask you how many hours of sleep did you get last night? Because, your head is in the clouds right now, the stormy clouds. Skewed thoughts this morning?

Please don't misunderstand. I am very thankful and I appreciate your positive, encouraging thoughts. I believe I do try to convey my messages in a way that is both encouraging and very truthful.

My goal is to be able to comfort and help others. By way of showing that God is the one that can do it! That goal can only be truly accomplished if the Lord is with me from the start to the finish line!

What I'm saying is that I cannot do this all on my own. Please don't misunderstand. Bible reading is up to me only. If I want to know more about the Bible, then it's my choice to pick up a Bible and read it. Or, in my case in particular, I need to pick up my phone go to the bible YouVersion app and read the bible there. If I was interested. If I want to follow his teachings like for the wives that they should be submissive to their husband. It is my choice if I want to follow that all submitting thing. It's my choice to follow whatever the Lord has mentioned in his word that he would like his children to follow.

To reiterate, of course I give back my appreciation. I appreciate you giving me encouraging words. Words that will lift my spirits up, and words that make me feel like I'm doing something right. And, that right thing I'm doing is hopefully showing to you all the glory of God!

Folks, I wish I do practice what I preach. So to speak. However, I don't. Well, I don't all the time. I probably do sometimes. Not much though. I don't think. Definitely not everyday.

Anyway. I believe the ultimate goal is to be able to practice every waking moment of my life of what God says in His word. However, we all know that's the perfect route. And that doesn't come into play until I get to heaven and see Jesus face-to-face. And, get that glorified body, he promises to give the true born again Christian Believers!

The other day, my friend, Carey Lewis, the head honcho of Actors Models and Talent for Christ (AMTC) left me the most encouraging Facebook comment! I believe she was commenting off of one of my writings. I cannot remember it verbatim. However, it was encouraging reading that she called me wise, or she said that I have wisdom. Something like that. I forgot. It was to that effect.

And, to that of course I responded back with a comment saying, thank you! Those words were super encouraging. And, God wants his people to encourage people! So, thanks again Carey. I'm pretty sure God saw the whole thing and it made him smile!

Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

 John 3:3

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

 Philippians 3:21

Who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44

So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

Philippians 3:20-21

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself
