DTFS Promise Series Part 15: Not Responsible For What God Is Allowing To Happen To Them

Play for the Audio Version

I am really feeling like this topic is getting really close to home with some people. Maybe you feel this way about other people? Maybe other people feel this way about you. Shoot, I know where this would we going.

Maybe you guys are parents, and you feel so responsible for your kid being paralyzed? Or, your kid being the bad kid that he or she is? Are you feeling responsible for your kids death? Are you  feeling responsible for this
happening and it's not in your control?

Let's take myself for example. Yes,
I do have multiple sclerosis. Yes, I do have dysplasia. Yes, I do have other crappy bodily problems

No oh, I definitely do not , cannot, will not, and should not do this. And, that is make anyone feel responsible for what is happening to me. Folks, it's not your fault in any way what is happening to your loved one is happening. So stop thinking that it is. Perhaps oh, I should use different words to make myself more clear.

Friends, you have
more clout or power in whatever is happening, or in the case of this writing
bad things happening. I think I'll stick with the first way I said it. If you are still lost, send me a message. :)

What comes to mind is the death of Jesus. I'm thinking we are kind of responsible for his death. God the Father was mostly at Power when it came to his sons death. See, we also have to remember that Jesus did choose to die so he was pretty much responsible for his own death

He did however let his father know that if it was in God the father's will oh, He would do it. But, I don't think he wanted to. And I mean willingly?
He was human. We all are human.
He chose to die for you and me on his own, with his own mind, and out of the kindness of his heart. I don't know about you guys, but I think he deserves a thank you!

I know someone who feels so responsible for something that he cannot control. Yeah, he can do anything humanly possible to stop the bad from reachintg its completion.

Remember I'm using the word humanly possible. Yeah, you can make someone take all the medicine they can, leave the life-support cord hooked up to your  body till the cows come home, so to . I'm thinking more like till you no longer have money to keep paying for it. You know what I'm talking about.

Yep, you know what though right? You know what I'm going to say next. Well, for those of you seriously don't know. Let me say this. Loud and proud, I am going to say this. When God is doing the controlling of lives, with him anything is possible!

What is coming to mind now is the death of Jesus. Kind of contradicting myself, when I say we all were kind of responsible for his death. Jesus had a choice. He did not have to die. But he did. Why did he?
He died because of us. He died for us.
I remember it does say in the Bible that Jesus told his father to take away the cup AKA his death.  He did say to his father not my will but God the Father's will be done!

Luke 22:43

Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.’ An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.”

Matthew 19:26

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

2 Timothy 1:7

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Psalm

119:105
Thy word is a lamp  to my feet and a light to my path.

Deep Thought of the Day

Stop blaming yourself for somethng bad happening to your loved one! It is out of your control! It's God's fault! Well it's God's beautiful fault LOL
