I had to come back and give a shout out to Karen and Brendan. They were two people at Panera Bread offering their handicapped table to Joe and I. Thank you 2 for accepting my card.vI pray that you two will be encouraged by the writings! Have a blessed day!
I once read a story about a man sitting next to another man on an airplane. Before the plane was about to take flight, the one man apologized to the other man. He said, " I'm going to get drunk on this fight." The other man said, "It sounds like you don't want to." The man said, " I don't, but I always run back to the wine." He got drunk. Drinking was his place of safety. But, it was no safe place at all.
It was said that the saddest part was this. When the wife embraced her husband after he got off the flight. She quickly pushed him away after smelling his breath.
Reflect & Pray
What false place of safety do you run to in times of fear or stress? How will you leave it behind today and place yourself under God’s freeing rule?
