DTFS Promise Series Part 44: God Knows Best

Play for the Audio Version

Attention! This writing was supposed to be posted Friday. However, I wasn't able to post. But I'm posting today! Enjoy!

Before I begin my reading for the day, I first need to apologize for not posting anything yesterday. I definitely do not want to forget this. F deer eirst of all, today I was not supposed to go to Starbucks. But for some reason I was like in  the Twilight Zone. So many things were happening to me. First off, I didn't even know what day it was.

I felt like there was something seriously stopping me from going to Starbucks. Even my normal happy go lucky personality, was being attacked so I would be down. It was so weird.

However, praise God because I was still able to give out one of my cards. I actually had dropped the charger for my phone. So this nice lady, Allie, was walking my way and I asked for help and she got the charger for me! I think that was the first smile I gave all morning! Allie, thank you for accepting my card and I pray you will be encouraged by the writings. Enjoy your day!

Continuing on with the Promise Series. Promise Series Part 44: Promise That God Knows What's Best! I may have touched a little bit on the subject before. However, today I want to focus on his plan being so awesome that we shouldn't even think about forcing things. Because He knows when it's the perfect time for certain things to happen. Then he will allow them to happen. I repeat do not force things!

What is making my head shake and my eyes roll is this thought. My cat, Giddy. Seriously, she can totally give a great example to what I'm speaking about. Those of you guys who have pets let me ask you something. Do you give them treats? If you do, when do you give them treats? Don't you think you know way better than your pet when they deserve the treats?

For example, when my cat, Giddy does something good maybe a nice trick? Like she would sit when we tell her to sit. Something like that. Then, sure. To show our appreciation and to make her think she was doing a good thing then we'll give her a treat!

However, when she's being a bad cat. For example one time this happened. Joe was preparing her food and put it on her plate. Then set it on the countertop because he had to go to the bathroom. A few minutes later, Joe hears a loud plate falling on the floor. When Joe got back to the kitchen, he found Giddy eating the food on her plate then apparently
on the floor too. Oh no, well how did the plate get on the floor?

All I will say is this. I guess she didn't have any more patience and she really wanted her food. Let's just say Joe did not really have kind words to say to her after that incident happened. Nope, definitely was not a time for her to get any treats.

Bottom line, she should have been patient with her owners like we should be patient with God.Well, that is if you consider him as your Father
that is.

We know what's best for our pets. God knows what's best for his children. I guess we really need to exert more patience in our lives. And, just remember, God knows what's best! He always knows best!

heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Lamentations 3:25

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.

Psalm 27:14

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
