Anyway, what do I do when I don't feel right? Meaning, my body just feels like something irregular is happening with my body. Perhaps, a new attack is coming on? Or, some feeling of the like. Well, when that happens what do I do?
Well, most people would probably call their doctor's office and try to get an appointment stat! I would do something different. I would email my doctor. And, tell him what's going on. And, usually, if he's in the country he would email me back usually pretty quickly. Sometimes he would suggest that I do things and see if they would help. Or, he would tell me to come in and he will squeeze me in between appointments. Or, he would just make his workday a little longer and have me come in at the end of his day. Thank God! I guess those are the perks of being his favorite patient! Lol.
Some years ago, when I was still able to walk. I lost my balance when I was awake at 4 in the morning. I texted my dentist saying, "sorry for the early text, I lost my balance and fell and hit my face on the wall then chipped my teeth really bad. I was like spitting teeth out! He texted me back right away and said, "it's ok and to come in later on that day." I'll save the rest of the story for another writing.
See, each time I felt sick or I needed a doctor oh, I had to do this. I had to either just go or make an appointment and see my doctor. I know right? Exactly what I was thinking! What if the the person is so sick they can't even get out of bed? Not everyone has a lifestyle of the Rich and Famous, where they can afford a live-in doctor to tend to the people's need for medical attention right away!
We need to remember that medical people like doctors have personal lives too! We shouldn't expect the very best to be at our every beck and call.
Did you all know that for all of the children of God... for all those who decided to follow Christ... God pretty much says in his word so pretty much promises that if we really need him, he will be there. His answer to those people's calls will be pretty immediate! Remember he does say he lives in the hearts of his children who have invited him to come live in their heart! I would say that's pretty close to home. And, definitely a quicker response back then a phone call, email, or text by a doctor responding to your medical need for help with something.
Mark 2:17
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
Job 42:2
“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted
Matthew 8:7
Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.”
James 5:15
And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goe61s well with your soul.
