DTFS Part 63: Promise To Be In Us

Play for the Audio Versio

I remember watching this one episode of the show, " The Good Doctor." I just began watching the show because my caregiver said it was a good show. I found that it really is.

For the first week, Joe and I were binge watching it like everyday! Thanks to shows online! The main character is disabled. So, since I am to, I can kind of relate.

It's not like we share the same disability. But, I think what she wanted me to see was this. Even if you're sick with anything, acccording to God's will. Do not get discouraged. Because of God you can do anything!

Anyway, the one show I was watching was an episode about twins. Their bodies were stuck together ever since birth. So, really they never  ever knew what it felt like to be alone. She was really in the other girl twin and vice versa. They ended up having the surgery
and for the first time they would be separated. They were basically cut in half. When the surgery happened,
they felt horrible. They just were not used to the feeling of being alone!

Personally, well since I am an only child, I can kind of relate. Kind of. I'm just saying because I have no brothers or sisters. I really don't know the
feeling of having a sibling that lived out of my body. So, I definitely would not know the feeling of having a sibling living attached to my body and with me all the time!

This morning, my tripped out mind
at times thought of this. Once we accept Jesus, He comes and lives in our hearts. It does say in the Bible. Well, if he knows us of course we are in him and he is in us! So, really we're never alone! That should be so comforting to us. And, it is. Thank you Jesus for leaving your children the Holy Spirit, our advocate, while you went back to be with the father. Thank you Jesus!

John 14:15-21

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[a] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
