Well, at times just out of the blue I would share with my husband crazy stuff that I went through from my childhood. I told him about my first dog. The first time that we got when I was 3 years old.
I remember trick or treating and there was this one house and the owners had a big dog and I ended up jumping three steps of stairs. My dad was cracking up! Lol
I also remembered a story about when me and my family were long driving on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. I remember I was sleeping on the floor and that we had a TV in our van 2. I remember we got into a car accident. I guess it wasn't that bad because well, it wasn't.
I told you I have a weird weird memory. I actually forgot all that stuff. My husband recently reminded me. Actually he reminded me today before he left for work. I earlier asked him what are some things that I told Him that I probably wouldn't even remember? I knew that I wanted to know because I was planning on including it in my writing for today. However, I didn't tell him that.
So, wow I guess he was really listening. I was pretty amazed that he remembered. Kudos for Joe!
I want to share another story with you that I heard from my caregiver, Glady. She told me about her dog, Duke she had when she was 10. Her family just couldn't take care of Duke anymore. Imagine the mother had 7 kids and adopted 5 more. So, that's understandable.
What happened was this. The place where they were adopting dogs was in Orlando. So, Glady and her family went to Orlando to say goodbye to Duke. Then when it was done they drove back to Kissimmee which is an hour away. Then this happened. They still do not understand how this happened. But, listen to this. One month later Duke escaped and ended up in front of their house in Kissimmee. To reiterate, that was an hour away from where Duke was, in Orland. Yep, even the dog pound was unable to explain what happened. What I can gather from that definitely is that Duke remembered where they lived vcd Personally, I'm pretty sure God helped him find his way back home. Glady and her family were so shocked. They totally saw it like God was telling them they were not ready to give Duke up.
What this brought to my mind was this. Of course something about God. And, that something is this. Duke, the Dog had a great memory. Joe, my husband also had a pretty good memory. They both were pretty good listeners too. However God, our Lord and savior has the best memory of all! He knows stuff about us we don't even know about ourselves!
God is a great listener. He's always listening to us when we call out to him. He has a smile on his face when we are shouting praise and singing to our God. He probably has a concerned look when we ask for prayer.
However, no matter what. If we talked to God he is listening! Do you get what I'm saying friends? I mean God is God. He can remember the good the bad, the everything! Well, lucky for us if we have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and savior, we are guaranteed this. He actually doesn't choose to remember the bad stuff once we say sorry and ask for forgiveness. What about you guysow do you feel about
Hebrews 8:12
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.
