I am not a parent. Nor, do I think I will be one anytime soon. Well, I can never say for sure. This is how I feel.
So, my mindset is pretty much still about my own parents. And, my husband's parents AKA in-laws. AKA 2nd parents.
I am a very lucky daughter. Now, with a very handsome husband!

Seriously, my parents lovingly welcomed my husband into our family. My parents saw that Joe loved their little girl. That welcome for Joe extended to my close family all the way to families from a different country.
I'm assuming my love for Joe played a big part in why his parents welcomed me in the family as well.

I am mindful of my heavenly father! Yes, my mom and my dad are my Earthly parents. However God is my heavenly father. He cares about me so much! God cares about his children so much! He doesn't like to see us sad or mad. But, he knows we our human and we have feelings. So, pretty sure he understands. Just saying he doesn't like seeing
1 John 3:20
For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. Even in laughter the heart may ache, and the end of joy may be grief.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the
