Thanks Kim for accepting my card and I pray you will be encouraged by the writings! So excited to share a devotional with the kiddos! On to today's writing!
Uh oh, here comes another memory from Samantha's past! This memory has to be like single digits in age. I'm not using that as an excuse. I'm just saying. :-)
Okay. here I go. I remember many years when I used to live at my parents home this happened. My parents or was it my Uncle? Maybe, it was both of theirs. Yes, that's a possibility.
Anyway, one of them or maybe both of them were the owner of this piggy bank. And, stupid Sam, and her accomplice friend came up with the craziest idea. "Let's take some money in the piggy bank and use it to buy some candy at the corner store a few blocks down from the parents house!"
So, we did just that. I wonder what my friend and I were thinking was going to happen next. My guess is we were thinking we weren't going to get caught up. I don't really remember the consequences but I do remember getting caught or called out for our sin.
What comes to mind are the two famous brothers in the Bible, Cain And Abel. They were the first two brothers in the Bible. Cain was so jealous of his brother Abel. As a result of his jealousy he killed Abel. Yes, the title of my writing is Cain is a star. However, don't misunderstand. In no way was that a positive thing. Him being a star, I mean. What he ended up doing was very bad. Definitely not something that would make him positively "Star Worthy."I'm just trying to say that he was worthy of being pointed out. Definitely not because it was a good thing what he ended up doing.
Long story short, what Cain did to his brother Abel haunted him. In the Bible it says that Abel's blood was speaking to him. It kind of makes me think of my own past sin with the stealing of my loved ones money so I could buy candy. Not saying I need help because it has been haunting me forever. No, and that would just be cray cray! I'm sure I apologized to God and he forgave me
already. Maybe, he just wanted me to remember this so I can include it in my reading. Or, maybe I never did apologize! Oops sorry God for stealing my loved one's money so I could buy candy many years ago. Many, many years ago. Wow! I totally feel like a huge load came off my shoulder. Hmm, guess I really needed that. Well, isn't that a good example of the phrase "better late than never!" Lol

Genesis 4:10-11
The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.
TBC.......
I was gonna say, Cain's not a star. Thanks for clarifying.
