When You Reject God.....

Play for the Audio Version

Remember I said before that God loves us? Well, I still stand by what I said. However, friends we need to remember that we have a "just." God. In other words, God is "fair."

Friends, not everyone is going to accept God. He gets that. Not everyone is going to believe God. I'm sure he gets that too. I'm pretty positive it hurts his heart. Can you imagine someone loving you so much and not getting love in return? From the people he created? Ouch. Right?

I mean that is sad. I'm sure God could do some mental surgery in unbeliever's brains and make them or force them to decide to follow and love him. But, that's just not God's style! He's not about forcing people to do things. That's why he decided to give free will!

If you want to run away from God then go right ahead.  He is not going to stop you! You have free will.

I do believe there will be consequences for the people who choose to reject God. I'm mindful of the Bible story of the boy who squandered his inheritance. The son skipped town and messed up his life. He regretted it of course. His father allowed it so he can exercise his free will.

Let me end with words from Pastor Greg Laurie. "God will allow you to pursue what you want to pursue and do what you want to do. But be careful. Because when you reject God, ruin follows." GL

I also read this from the Bible Authority devotional. I found it pretty interesting and worthy to share.

"When people refuse to accept the Father as the authority in their lives, they set themselves up as God."

When people refuse to accept the Father as the authority in their lives, they set themselves up as God.

Matthew 10:33

But whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 10:32

So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,

2Peter 2:1

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand
