Church

Play for the Audio Version
During these oh  so difficult times. Really speaking of this Corona virus pandemic. Yup, from the early months of the year 2020 to now and maybe more,  normal life has been pretty much nonexistent.

That means, other things that we were used to doing before on a normal every day basis?  I speak of going to school or work everyday. Or, going to the movies.  Having a bite to eat at a restaurant with loved ones. Or, going to your normal, church services has really been "Different."

Let me share my deep thoughts about church. What do you guys think about church? Maybe you guys don't ev,en go to church? Or, maybe you do?

When I was younger, church was a large building, with loud bells, and colorful stained glass windows. This church building was always packed.  Jam packed with people, willing, ready, and excited to worship Jesus!
Right on!

Well, perhaps  I should  just end my sentence by saying the building was packed with people. Because, honestly I have no idea where people's hearts are with Jesus.

Yeah the place was packed with people. However, how do I know if they really were    excited to be worshiping Jesus? People can easily go through the motions. However,  are they really being genuine when other people see them worshipping Jesus? Jesus knows their heart.

Then, I was at another church. Smaller, minus the colorful stained glass windows. However, there was a live band.  That was when my love of singing began to develop. Singer in a live English/Spanish  band.  That was cool! Super fun!

Then, right before this pandemic, my husband and I were members of another church. Smaller then ones from before. This was our home church. The place  we would go once a week and gather with our brothers and sisters in Christ and worship Jesus!

Now, during this pandemic? Since,  Joe and I are pretty much homebound.  There is a way for us to make church come to us. We are able to watch online services from our home church. Or, if we need earlier hours, Pastor Greg Laurie has virtual church services as well.

Let me end with words from Cathe Laurie. '"What matters most is Jesus’ promise to us that where two or more are gathered, He is right there with us (see Matthew 18:20 ESV). To the end of the age, He promises He hears us and is with us.

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

—Matthew 18:20
