Bang! Bang! :(

Play for the Audio Version

I am pretty sure I am not the only one. Nope. I am not the only one who is getting really sick of watching the  news. And, hearing about shootings.  And, more recently so much news about looting! Am I r
ight?

I just heard yesterday that  around 2:00 that morning an elderly woman in her seventies was opening her door to some visitors and was shot in the chest. The bullet was not intended for this woman.

Well,  that's not very surprising. Bullets just flying in the air? That seems to be the "norm." This poor woman was caught in the cross fire.

And, lately I have been hearing of many shootings of children. Seriously?! What did these innocent kids do? The answer is nothing!

Folks, poor innocent children are getting shot and dying.  I guess because they're at the wrong place at the wrong time. In other words innocent children are getting shot and killed on accident because the bullet was meant for someone else.

Wait what?! Some girl got shot at home watching TV! I really needed to turn the TV off the other day. It was getting hard concentrating on my writing.

It really is no surprise that innocent children are getting shot or injured. And, may end up dying. That is just so sad.

Ok, time for Samantha's Deep Thoughts! First of all,  The words sad, more depressing,  even angry comes to mind!  To reiterate, what did these innocent children and/or adults do to deserve injury or death?  I repeat nothing!  They did nothing!

Do you ask yourselves this question?  Why exactly are all of these shootings happening in the world?  The answer to that is something I definitely would not be able to tell you. Because, I don't know. I have no idea why God allows whatever he wants to allow. All I know is that he allows whatever he wants to allow. And, God knows what is best.

I guess it shouldn't be too surprising to us because The Bible does say In Matthew 24:6 CEV: You will soon hear about wars and threats of wars, but don't be afraid. These things will have to happen first, but that isn't the end.

I do know because it's in the Bible that God says don't murder!  And don't kill the innocent. So, evidently  God does not like what he is seeing when bad stuff like that happens. God knows we humans have free will. So, that explains that.

I think what we people should really focus on is the right way to being scared. What does Sam mean by that? The Bible says in
Matthew10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.Yep, thats one Sam means.  Let us look at a few more Bible verses.

Exodus 23:7

Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.

Exodus 20:13

“You shall  Not murder
