If You're Gonna Read It, Then.....

Play for the Audio Version

Question? Do you read the Bible? Well, I am thinking you might say, " I do not believe in God Sam! So, why would I read the Bible!? What kind of crazy question is that?" And, To that I say touche! I do see how you may see that as a crazy question.

And, so now I am thinking this. " Then, why are you even reading this blog? You know this is all about religion! Then you should just stop... Lol Yeah right, definitely not something I was thinking.

First of all, let me clarify something. This blog is definitely not about religion. Do you think I'm a religious person? Religious? That is one thing I definitely am not. I'm about having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Oh yes, there is a difference. Send me a message, and I would love to talk to you about it!

Seriously though, whether or not you believe the Bible of course you're still more than welcome to read or listen to what I'm about to say. I just think the Christian that reads The Bible would benefit much from reading it. OK, what are my Deep Thoughts Regarding The Bible?

Here it is. If you are going to read the Bible? Then you must Know The Full Word of God! Why do I say that? I say that because Satan knows it and will use it, well parts of it to manipulate, deceive, or be his conniving self!

The Bible story of Jesus going without food for 40 days comes to mind. Can you imagine how hungry Jesus was? And, so of course, the devil thought it was a prime opportunity for him to get Jesus to fall. But because Jesus is Jesus. This awesome man knew The Bible. I mean he really knew The Bible. And, since he knew the full bible, he was able to use the word of God against satan!

Satan was only nitpicking The words in The Bible that God said. But, satan refused to finish the full thought of what God was really trying to say. Since Jesus knew everything? Satan knew he was on the no-win battle plan so, he was promptly discouraged and then I left him alone! I guess it was a win for Jesus!

Matthew 3: 4-11

During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’ ” Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’ ” Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.” “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’ ” Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.
