Good morning. Yup, doing another writing that will hopefully help fellow married couples. I like to throw in my
Deep Thoughts about this subject once in a while. You know since it's pretty close to home.
So, If you are not married and decide on taking a pause break on my writing for the day? Totally understand. However, you know if you had friends that were actually married, (which you probably do) right? Then, wouldn't it be cool to be that awesome friend that gives great advice to them regarding marriage? if they ever needed it?! Hmm? Up to you guys. I'm just saying. Let's dive in!
You know what? I would not be surprised if there is a husband or a wife right now having an argument specifically about this. Meaning, when other spouses does all the work in their marriage. All the spouse wants is some help from the other spouse!
Maybe it's you? Did I just give you guys the goosies? I think I just got them. Well, maybe it's because it's getting a bit chilly here lol.
Seriously though? I am not surprised I'm writing about this today. I am writing about this specific topic for you guys. And, for me and my husband. Every married person this is for you!
Now, what do I mean exactly when I say help? Well, that would differ with each person. You guys have to compromise and talk about it together. I will give random examples to elaborate.
Husbands. Your wife deserves a break once in awhile from always cooking dinner. Why don't you watch some food network or copy how to cook a dish on you tube?
Joe told me most guys like grilling. So, maybe this is a good time to slap some steaks on the grill. And, cook for the family!
Husbands, you don't have to stop there. Meaning then after dinner, let your wife watch some TV, talk on the phone with her girlfriends. Or, play games on the phone.
Husband's, clean up after them and wash the dishes. Now, if, you don't like cleaning? Perhaps, look at it and do it as a sacrifice. Again it will be greatly appreciated. It's only once in awhile. Who knows? What if the wife saw that you cleaned even if you don't like doing that. Maybe your wife would say you never had to clean again. I don't know. It could happen.
Now, if you just absolutely cannot stand cooking or cleaning, that's OK. Hire a maid. And, I hope you don't have a problem ordering food and transferring it on to your own plates. I am sure the wife will appreciate it especially since she knows you hate cooking and cleaning. Think about it
For the husbands. Wives, does your hubby like watching sports? If so, pick a Sunday and just let him watch football from the 1st kickoff of the game to the last celebratatory touch down dance!
Remember, I am married. So, I believe I know what I am talking about. I should probably practice what I preach on my own marriage. Yes, I definitely should do that!
Remember all spouses are different. Maybe it's a husband who needs a break from cooking and cleaning? Or, maybe it's the wife needs to just chill in front of the TV on Sunday and watch sports. Only you know what your spouse needs a break from doing all the time.
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. ...
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
